Terms of Use

The rules for using this site, in as little legalese as the subject allows.

Last updated 9 October 2026

The short version. Play as much as you like, free, no account needed. Each picture keeps its own licence, named on its puzzle page. The site itself is provided as-is — it is a free puzzle site, not a service anyone is guaranteeing. Please do not scrape it or try to break it.

Agreement

By using puzzlejigsawpuzzle.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. These terms were last updated on 9 October 2026; continuing to use the site after they change means you accept the revised version.

Using the site

You may use Puzzle Jigsaw Puzzle free of charge, for personal enjoyment, without registering. No payment is ever required and no feature is held back behind an account.

You agree not to:

  • scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site or its images, other than ordinary indexing by a search engine that respects our robots.txt;
  • attempt to disrupt the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, or place an unreasonable load on it;
  • reproduce the site's own text, design or code as your own, or present the site as something you operate;
  • use the site in any way that breaks the law where you are.

The puzzle images

The pictures on this site are the same ones used in the Jigsaw Puzzles app, and come from three places. Each puzzle page says which:

  • Museum paintings in the Art collection are in the public domain, from the open-access collections of the museums named on each page. No copyright restricts them: you are free to download, copy and reuse them, including commercially. We claim no rights over them and grant you none, because none are ours to grant.
  • Photographs and illustrations from Pixabay are used under the Pixabay Content License. That licence is between you and Pixabay; follow the link on the puzzle page if you want to use a picture yourself.
  • Original artwork made for the Jigsaw Puzzles app belongs to the site's operator. You may play it here as much as you like, but please do not republish it.

Credits are given in good faith from the source's own designation. If you believe a picture here should not be, please tell us — see Rights concerns below.

The site itself

The design, text, layout and source code of Puzzle Jigsaw Puzzle — as distinct from the museum and Pixabay pictures — remain the property of the site's operator. You may link to any page freely. You may not republish the site's own written content or pass its code off as your own work.

Your saved progress

Saved puzzles, completion times and settings live in your browser's storage on your own device, as described in the privacy policy. We do not hold a copy and cannot recover this data for you. It can be lost for ordinary reasons entirely outside our control — clearing your browsing data, a browser update, private browsing, or your browser reclaiming storage space. Please treat an unfinished puzzle as pleasantly temporary rather than as something safely archived.

No warranty

This site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or browser, nor that any particular puzzle will remain available. Features may change or be withdrawn without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of Puzzle Jigsaw Puzzle is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, including loss of saved puzzle progress or completion times. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Rights concerns

If you hold rights in any image on this site and believe it should not be published here, contact us with enough detail to identify the image and the basis of your claim. Anything disputed in good faith will be taken down promptly while it is reviewed, and removed permanently if the claim holds up. We would rather lose a puzzle than host something we should not.

Governing terms

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
