Ship puzzles are made of two puzzles: the boats, with masts, rigging, hulls and bright paint, and the water and sky around them. Start with the boats and use the masts as vertical guides; then build the harbour wall or shoreline. Calm water reflecting the boats is easier than open sea, because the reflection repeats the colours above it. A tall ship under full sail at 300 or 500 pieces is one of the best long solves on the site.
