About this puzzle
Gosling is a free online jigsaw puzzle you can play straight in your browser, at any size from 12 to 500 pieces. Drag a piece near where it belongs and it snaps into place; joined pieces then move together as one. How to solve it
Do the bird first — its feathers, eye and beak are the easiest pieces on the board — then the branch or water it sits on. The blurred background is the real puzzle. Sort it by tone from light to dark and place it in bands, working from the bird outward. On a 300-piece board that background is most of the evening.
